Caia, Beach Pillows

Summer has officially arrived despite of its shyness. With the hope that this awkward weather will fade away on the next days I'll bring you another stylish suggestion for the beach/pool days.
If you are in Portugal you probably have heard about or seen this brand. Caia is a brand of beach pillows that has become a success since its launch in 2012.





The pillows are made of plastic cotton and are fully stitched (they don't open) and are made in Portugal.
Their unique design, with a big diversity of prints, and quality make them so desirable.

Superfoods #Goji Berries

Who hasn't heard about goji berries?!
Apparently, a few years ago there weren't many people on the occidental world who knew about its super benefits. In fact, Goji berries have been used for thousand of years in Tibet and China as a culinary and mecinal ingredient.




Goji berries are the most nutritionally dense fruit on Earth, becoming unique because they contain all essential amino acids and also have the highest concentration of protein of any fruit. They are rich in vitamins, minerals, unsaturated fatty acids, antioxidants and polysaccharides.
 It's the fruit with the highest amount of Vitamin C (has more than an orange, for example), boasts 15 times the amount of iron found in spinach, as well as calcium, zinc, selenium and many other important trace minerals. It also contains natural anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal compounds. 

They have potential benefits against cardiovascular and inflammatory diseases, vision problems, neurological and immune system, and anti-carcinogenic properties are also linked to them. 
It is an anti-aging fruit par excellence, increasing energy levels, helping the digestive process and weight loss.





Please note, that if you are taking medication for diabetes, or blood pressure, or take the blood thinner warfarin goji berries might have side effects, therefore, you should consult your doctor.

You can mix it with other fruits, as well as yogurts, cereals, salads, juices or smoothies.

Nike, The Last Game

The World cup starts in two days and despite all the controversy around it, now it's time for the warm up. Yesterday, Nike Football released this amazing video.

Yogurt snack


Here's an healthy snack to eat in the middle of the morning or afternoon. A natural yogurt with nectarine and goji berries.You can also add some chia seeds :)

Bolognese Soy




Ingredients:

 Spaghetti
 Soy Protein
 onion
 a garlic clove
 olive oil
 tomato pulp
 a laurel leaf
 parsley
 tomato
 oregano
 grated cheese


Before you start cooking prepare the textured soy protein by placing it in water for about 20-30 minutes. After being hydrated the soy should be drained and squeezed. 
Meanwhile boil the spaghetti. 

Chop the onion and garlic clove and place in a pan with a little olive oil. Then place the soy and season to taste. Finally add the tomato pulp.

Add the spaghetti with the rest of prepared. Add diced tomato, oregano and grated cheese and is ready to serve!

Calzedonia Summer '14

June is the official month of summer, at least if you are on the northern hemisphere, and with it the desire to spend as much time as possible on the beach or by the pool.

With that, I'm bring another bikini brand, the italian and super famous Calzedonia. Everyone knows it, and personally I have at least half a dozen bikinis from it. So, for this very reason I select a sample of this summer collection. Every year they come up with different concepts which are reflected into the desgins, new shapes and fabrics giving us a wide variety of pieces.
