Sales are the best time to take care of ourselves with some treats, but
why not taking advantage of sales to pamper our homes?

Another opportunity to grab during the sales season is sportswear. Sports clothes tend to be very pricey due to the technical fabrics and technology applied on the making process. So this is the time to invest on some work out clothes!

A roupa desportiva tem tendência a ser carota devido aos tecidos técnicos e toda a tecnologia utilizada no processo de confeção. Por isso, esta é a altura de investir! Eu só compro roupa de desporto nos saldos, assim consigo encontrar boas peças (qualidade leia-se) a um preço bem mais simpático.

Winter Sales part 2

Today I bring you a selection of coats, knitwear and accessories. 

You may think everything is quite dull and plain but in reality every item has a special touch, the fitting, the materials,..., and are basics which means that are perfect to coordinate with trendy items that may l live in your wardrobe.

The sales season has officially started today so once again I did my research and here are my proposals and recommendations.

Don't forget the shopping mantra: Quality over Quantity!
This is the opportunity to buy quality basics. Go for simplicity and leave the trendy items on the racks or on a second plan.
Get focus, this is the time to invest on lifetime items.

White Shirts

To end up my sales suggestions, I present you my selection of white shirts. (note to yourself, every woman should have at least one white shirt in her wardrobe, I advise more than one in different styles).
These shirts are all for Mango (my new crush) and they are all different, a sleeveless shirt for summer (can easily be use in a formal outfit or in super casual look), the oversized linen shirt (it's perfect to casual looks) and finally the silk basic shirt (perfect for every occasion).

Sales suggestions - Accessories

The sale season is also great to buy some accessories. Personally, I tend to ignore these items during the year waiting for the price reduction just because they tend to be a bit pricey. I find it hard to pay 20€ or more for a Zara necklace while I could spend that money on a simple silver necklace.
In this set I tried to put a mix of accessories that scream summer.

Here are a few bags suggestions on sales. I've chosen neutral tones because it's a must have, bags in neutral tones match with everything and have much more use than colorful ones, that's why it's best to invest more money on quality neutral bags.

Sales Suggestions - Leather Jackets

The leather jacket is a must on every woman's wardrobe, they are made on different colours, styles and shapes that can suit any body type. It's wise to invest some money in a great piece that will last you an eternity than buy a cheaper one that within a year or two will be visibly damaged. That's why sales are there perfect opportunity to invest on a good leather jacket.

I selected these three jackets from Mango on three different colours for my suggestions.

Summer Sales

The Sales season has begun a couple of weeks ago and most of the shops have now reached very reasonable prices. On Winter Sales I wrote a small text with some guidelines about what to buy (you can see it here) and as it doesn't hurt to remind, here's some tips to have in consideration on the Spring/Summer Sales.

1. Make a list of things that are lacking or need replacement in your wardrobe.

2. Set a budget. That will help you to not overspend.

3. Go to the shops early in the morning, that way you avoid crowds and find an organized shop.

4. Always check the original price of a garment to see exactly how much you are saving.

5. Check if the pieces are in good conditions. 

6. Go for Quality over quantity!

7. Have a look on the next season trends and bet on pieces that can be carry over to the next season

8. Don't forget that this is the perfect time to purchase Basics!

Samoan Sand

I couldn't resist to this baby!

I was looking for a nude nail polish while I bumped into this gorgeous sandy OPI nail polish On Sale!  Joy! Now we live haply together :)

Its orignal price was €14,50 and with the discount costed €5,80. 

This is my first nail polish from OPI and right now I can only compliment and recommend the brand.

Air Kiss

When it comes to beauty I always get lost in the amount of products available and which are or aren't best for me. Regarding cleansing and moisturizing rituals I've got my favourites and do everything to keep my complexion as healthy as possible. As for makeup I feel miles away. Usually I don't use it on a daily basis plus I own pretty much nothing (just the basics of course!). On day to day, a gloss on the lips and nail polish can work wonders. But there are those days, that dark circles and tired skin aren't acceptable and the time comes to "camouflage". Given all that, this year I've made the resolution to bet more in this "world" and start to learn more and buy a few products.

Clinique needs no introduction, their products are of exceptional quality but their prices tend to be a little above from the cosmetics brands that are available on supermarkets.

 Being in the middle of sales season (I'll never get tired of talking about this!) this is an amazing opportunity to pay a visit to cosmetic shops, explore them and check out the products that have discount.

So yesterday there I went, and bought this lip gloss from Clinique which its initial price was €19,80 for €11.80 . The gloss is long lasting and has SPF15.

I have a big crush on cashmere wonder why :)  but the prices of these kind of pieces are a bit more high in comparison with other knits. That's why the Sales season are an amazing opportunity to put my hands in these precious itens! I've already posted about this Mango jumper here and now I finally got it. From 89,99€ to 44,99€.

P.S. the jumper in the blog appear too bright in reality is a navy blue

Run to Zara!!!

In contrast to the beginning of sale season in which the discounts were really poor, right now I recommend you to run to the nearest Zara because the prices are really amazing. 
I've bought this great coat yesterday (that I've already suggested here) for almost a third of its original price. A great purchase!

Decor Sales

Sales are not only a big chance to buy quality clothes and accessories, they are also a great opportunity to buy some decor items, from a sofa to a candle, you can find pretty much everything.
I'm crazy in love for the USA flag trunk although it's price quite high.

#5 Sales suggestions

Printed jumpers/cardigans are choice for this winter that officially had started 3 weeks ago although it seems to be around for much longer. Geometrical prints are great but like any other print, attention to body proportions is needed.
I point out the blue jumper which is 100% kashmir at a very good discount. Always go for great materials, like kashmir for a basic knitwear piece, it will last for ever!
