100% vaseline from Vasenol

It finally arrived to Portugal the simplest of the cosmetics products, vaseline from Vasenol. It's 100% pure vaseline in a small pack format perfect to carry around in your bag. I already knew the benefits of vaseline and some of its applications, but I confess I haven't owned one until I heard about this product.

I've been using it for two weeks and I'm totally addicted to it! I'm mainly using it to moisturize my lips, cuticles and hands, heels and as cicatrizant. Vasenol claims 30 different uses for this product, like using to make a natural exfoliant, to make your eye makeup last longer, and so on. Check all of the uses on their website.

Chegou finalmente a Portugal um dos cosméticos mais simples que pode haver, a vaselina da Vasenol. É uma geleia com 100% de vaselina pura e vem numa pequena embalagem que é perfeita para colocar na mala e levá-la para todo o lado. Eu já conhecia alguns dos benefícios do uso de vaselina e algumas das suas aplicações mas confesso que não tinha nem usava nada deste género até ter ouvido falar neste produto.

Comecei a usar a vaselina há cerca de duas semanas e já estou completamente rendida! Tenho usado principalmente para hidratar os lábios, unhas e cutículas, mãos, calcanhares e como cicatrizante. A Vasenol afirma que este produto tem 30 finalidades diferentes, como usa-la para fazer um esfoliante natural, para a maquilhagem durante mais tempo, entre outros. Baby steps into the beauty world

I'm a newcomer in the beauty world. I'm an avid consumer of cosmetics but when it comes to get all dolled up with some makeup forget it, I have no clue what to do!

It's not that I didn't have any products or didn't know how to apply them, but I though it was time to pass to the next level (level 2 I dare say). So after watching hundreds of make up tutorials on youtube (I'll leave bellow the links to my favourite channels) I've decided that it was time to purchase basic items that were a major flaw in my tiny collection. 

I've decided to give up a try on Kiko, the italian makeup brand, which has very affordable prices and good quality. Because I'm a beginner I don't want to invest to much money right away. First I like to get familiarized with using the products and then, on a second stage, I would buy and test other brands.

So I ended up buying (on sales!!!!) a powder brush - this brush is amazing, I bought it to use it with a normal powder but it's also perfect to apply brightener and bronzer in a single step (the next products on my to buy list); a concealer - yes, now I can see how ridiculous I was not owning such a preciosity; a taupe-white eye pencil - I'm in love with this pencil, it lasts forever!!!; a face powder - any excuse will do to use that powder brush :) and also the powder "secures" the makeup and prevent that oily shine that my skin sometimes insists on having; and finally the tangle teezer which is not a beauty product and actually is a christmas present that I got from my mom, but i wanted to share  it with you. It needless to say how fabulous this brush is.

How to wear a fur coat

Today I bring to you four suggestions to how to wear a fur coat. 
The chosen coat is from Storets (not a surprise, huh!), my favourite coat ever! 

The first two options are super casual and super trendy at the same time. I can easily imagine myself enjoying a stroll in the city after a delicious brunch wearing these two outfits.

Hoje trago-vos algumas sugestões de como usar um casaco de pelo. O casaco que escolhi é da Storets (grande surpresa, não?!), que é só o meu casaco favorito de sempre!

As duas primeiras opções mostram um estilo bastante casual mas muito a par das tendências. Imagino-me com estes dois looks a dar uma belo passeio pela cidade depois de um brunch delicioso.

I made this look thinking more in work environment, a bit more formal but full of style.

Montei este look com um ambiente de trabalho em mente, é um pouco mais formal mas mesmo assim cheio de estilo.

And finally, the party look. I had to classic on this look, it was the old holywood cliché but in a more "modest" manner.

E por último, o look de festa. Neste look acabei por ir por um estilo mais clássico, bem tipo cliché hollywoodesco mas num formato bem mais modesto.

How to read clothing care labels

Doing the laundry, that task that I hope to master one day. 
It might sound easy to do it, throw your clothes into the washing machine and turn it on, well I'm sorry to disappoint some people but it's not. Washing, drying and ironing clothes is a science. The good news are that our beloved clothes tell us how to treat them, yes you read correctly, tell us. How, you ask? Simple, through the clothing care labels (the ones you usually to cut).
So I've decided to make a search for the meanings of all of those signs. 

Tratar da roupa, lavar, secar e passar, essas maravilhosas tarefas que um dia espero dominar. Pode parecer fácil, basta atirar a roupa a máquina e pô-la a funcionar, mas lamento desiludir algumas pessoas, mas não é bem assim. Lavar, secar e passar a roupa é quase como uma ciência! As boas notícias são que a nossa própria e querida roupa nos diz como tratar dela. Sim, leram bem, ela diz exatamente isso. Como, perguntam vocês. Bem, é simples, através das etiquetas de cuidados a ter (sim, aquelas que vocês costumam cortar). Alguns daqueles símbolos podem ser por vezes um pouco confusos, por isso, decidi fazer uma pesquisa sobre os significados de todos aqueles símbolos.
